Spectators: 7717 (Terracing: 5790, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nurkan Elmastaş started the match with the kick off. Kılıçhan Süner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nurkan Elmastaş's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Hílton Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Nordin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hílton Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Nordin in the 13th minute of play. F.c. Galatasaray's Hílton Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şentürk Şener in the 17th minute of play. Hílton Gaúcho came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Bordo mavi's Wilhelm Nordin. But to his dismay, Wilhelm Nordin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hílton Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şentürk Şener, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Emrah Hidayettin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Wilhelm Nordin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bordo mavi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.c. Galatasaray the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bordo mavi's Wilhelm Nordin got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilhelm Nordin in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Gaúcho saved F.c. Galatasaray from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Şentürk Şener put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hílton Gaúcho. Şentürk Şener fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Gaúcho having to interfere. F.c. Galatasaray's Hílton Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şentürk Şener in the 46th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şentürk Şener made a kick off. If Şentürk Şener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Eklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 minutes, Válter Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.c. Galatasaray and the Bordo mavi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Válter Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Wilhelm Nordin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Bordo mavi's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Şentürk Şener fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Gaúcho having to interfere. Hílton Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Nordin in the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes F.c. Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Varol Çelikkan. The crowd rose to their feet as Şentürk Şener kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hílton Gaúcho. That made the score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. Şentürk Şener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilhelm Nordin might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hílton Gaúcho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilhelm Nordin ran back to his position shaking his head. Varol Çelikkan's late challenge caught a Bordo mavi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Varol Çelikkan helped the player get up and apologised. The long shot by Brian Eklund in the 89th minute really tested Hílton Gaúcho's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, İbrahim Elmacı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bordo mavi's supporters rose to their feet, but İbrahim Elmacı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hílton Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Bordo mavi could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than F.c. Galatasaray throughout the match.
