Tatvanspor's Vatan Sidam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Tatvanspor from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Sivasspor JK's Okan Nursal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vatan Sidam. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. When Ziya Beşer came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Sivasspor JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ziya Beşer couldn't finish the play. Tatvanspor's Demirhan Tekrim got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baykam Şengil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tolga Özgu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Gökhan Şahruh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sivasspor JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some careless play in the Tatvanspor defense, Okan Nursal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vatan Sidam. The Tatvanspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vatan Sidam should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Okan Nursal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Okan Nursal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vatan Sidam was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 35 minutes into the match, Tatvanspor's goalkeeper Vatan Sidam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ziya Beşer. Okan Nursal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Vatan Sidam made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Ziya Beşer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vatan Sidam. Tatvanspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ziya Beşer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Ziya Beşer put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vatan Sidam. Gökhan Şahruh hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ziya Beşer made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Ziya Beşer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vatan Sidam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vatan Sidam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okan Nursal, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 65th minute, Ziya Beşer made a precise shot to the right of Vatan Sidam. Sivasspor JK's Coşkun Hozatlı couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tatvanspor. After 93 played minutes Tatvanspor got a freekick which was hit by Mithat Uraltay. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sivasspor JK had played much better football throughout.
