Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gian-Carlo Irizar started the match with the kick off. 9 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's Osvaldo Koldobika sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hüseyin Turan Cesman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, TRABZONSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mürsel Cumali to maneuver through the defense. Encang Wibowo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruperto Gabrio. TRABZONSPOR's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY SK's Yahya Tuncer got a free kick in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Gian-Carlo Irizar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruperto Gabrio. TRABZONSPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gian-Carlo Irizar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Gian-Carlo Irizar came free, but Ruperto Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gian-Carlo Irizar in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruperto Gabrio saved TRABZONSPOR from getting behind. GALATASARAY SK's Timo Rea got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of TRABZONSPOR booed when GALATASARAY SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Sergi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Yahya Tuncer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Osvaldo Koldobika took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Hüseyin Turan Cesman to make any attempt to save it. Osvaldo Koldobika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Turan Cesman having to interfere. Ruperto Gabrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Sergi in the 43rd minute of the match. TRABZONSPOR's Ruperto Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yahya Tuncer in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldo Koldobika stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match, Yahya Tuncer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ruperto Gabrio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of TRABZONSPOR booed when GALATASARAY SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abay Erencan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Gian-Carlo Irizar came free, but Ruperto Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to TRABZONSPOR getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Magno Tavares hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yahya Tuncer got free with Ruperto Gabrio in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Julian Jacob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GALATASARAY SK's Hüseyin Turan Cesman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Koldobika in the 68th minute of play. Peker Kadirsah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Yahya Tuncer could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Ruperto Gabrio however easily saved by the left post. Hüseyin Turan Cesman came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by TRABZONSPOR's Osvaldo Koldobika. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Koldobika quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Yahya Tuncer in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ruperto Gabrio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. GALATASARAY SK's Yahya Tuncer was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, TRABZONSPOR's Ali Toktaş got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute Encang Wibowo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Gabrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Koldobika recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
