The throw-in from Erman Kamil in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kılıç SK's Kağan Orhun. Olcay Orkun İlcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Eskil getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Haşmet Vahapoğlu hit a great ball. Ali Erdem Karataş was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Eskil's Gökmen Dilhan got control of the ball when Ahmet Efe Nasip tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Aktaç Tunay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Kağan Orhun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kılıç SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kağan Orhun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ahmet Davut Vahip came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Eskil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Davut Vahip couldn't finish the play. Ali Numan Akartuna hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olcay Orkun İlcan made a kick off. The supporters of Kılıç SK booed when Eskil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Numan Akartuna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gökmen Dilhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Efe Nasip in the 58th minute of play. Kılıç SK were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Eskil's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ali Erdem Karataş took the corner. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gökmen Dilhan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Eskil's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ali Erdem Karataş was slow to take the kick. During this time Kılıç SK's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Efe Nasip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gökmen Dilhan was relentless in the 76th minute of the game.
