An unexpectedly hard shot by Göktürk Tacal in the 16th minute of play forced Artova SK's goalkeeper Ahmet Boran Güneş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, İsa Tokyürek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Göktürk Tacal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ahmet Boran Güneş, 2-0. Artova SK's Ahmet Boran Güneş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göktürk Tacal in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Macit Toktimur in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Boran Güneş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kılıçalp Üstündağ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsa Tokyürek in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Artova SK's Ahmet Boran Güneş got control of the ball when Ali Macit Toktimur tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match Behram Bintuğ shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Boran Güneş showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Artova SK booed when Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Ozan Uluman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Özalp Hepyener came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Artova SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özalp Hepyener couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Özalp Hepyener to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Ali Macit Toktimur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Artova SK's Ahmet Boran Güneş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 55th minute Göktürk Tacal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Boran Güneş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Behzat Yücesan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kılıçalp Üstündağ firmly grabbed it by the left post. 58 minutes into the game, Göktürk Tacal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Göktürk Tacal might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahmet Boran Güneş. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Göktürk Tacal ran back to his position shaking his head. Ahmet Boran Güneş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Macit Toktimur in the 68th minute of play. Göktürk Tacal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Boran Güneş having to interfere. Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği made a substitution. Abdulmelik Bayram replaced Jaroslaw Solibieda. Mehmet Emin Energin lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Artova SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği:s goal. Ahmet Boran Güneş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Macit Toktimur's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 98th match minute, Yenisölöz GençlerBirliği was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Ozan Korgan to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Kudret Yeten from long distance, 99 minutes into the match, got Kılıçalp Üstündağ's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
