Fodil Otman started the match with the kick off. With 4 minutes on the clock, Mei Zhen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trabzon! Hakkı Devrim Saye's late challenge caught a Trabzon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hakkı Devrim Saye helped the player get up and apologised. Gencer Uluöz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Özalp Başkara made a huge save. Jan-Erik Åhlberg hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Trabzon's Cemalettin Yeğin got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Gauche in the 23rd minute of play forced Trabzon's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Kutlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the B.DORTMUNT defense, Gencer Uluöz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Özalp Başkara. The B.DORTMUNT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Özalp Başkara should have stopped the shot. If Fodil Otman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ergin Topel fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored B.DORTMUNT's protests and gave Ergin Topel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to B.DORTMUNT getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ergin Topel hit a great ball. Mustafa Hamit Kutlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Gauche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute B.DORTMUNT were awarded a corner. Ali Ömer Gökkuşağı went to the cornerflag to take it. Özalp Başkara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fodil Otman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 40 minute of play. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Yakup Berkman with Ronaldinho Gauche as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ronaldinho Gauche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Mustafa Hamit Kutlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Cemalettin Yeğin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Özalp Başkara was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 59th minute Fodil Otman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Özalp Başkara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jo Adler kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Trabzon's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Kutlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Ömer Gökkuşağı. If Gencer Uluöz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of B.DORTMUNT booed when Trabzon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jo Adler didn't get a good kick on the ball. B.DORTMUNT's Ali Ömer Gökkuşağı shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 67th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mustafa Hamit Kutlu but with some difficulty. Trabzon's Fodil Otman got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the game, Gencer Uluöz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Özalp Başkara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Özalp Başkara came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Trabzon's Fodil Otman. But to his dismay, Fodil Otman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 83 minutes into the game, Trabzon's Fodil Otman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Özalp Başkara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. A collision led to B.DORTMUNT getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Arman Özmen hit a great ball. Özalp Başkara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fodil Otman in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of B.DORTMUNT booed when Trabzon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zaid Sağanalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. B.DORTMUNT's Ali Ömer Gökkuşağı shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 95th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mustafa Hamit Kutlu but with some difficulty. When the referee ended the match the Trabzon players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
