B.DORTMUNT's Özalp Başkara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okanay Mutluer in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the GeNaReTioN NeXT defense, Baki Taif kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yasin Turabi. The GeNaReTioN NeXT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yasin Turabi should have stopped the shot. The B.DORTMUNT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Özalp Başkara should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the match, B.DORTMUNT's goal looked a bit too open when Rıfkı Pekant came free, but Özalp Başkara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, B.DORTMUNT's Yasin Turabi threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ronaldinho Gauche, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Okanay Mutluer took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Özalp Başkara. Özalp Başkara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-9. 47 minutes into the game, one of GeNaReTioN NeXT:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldinho Gauche was the one to do the kick off. Özalp Başkara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muharrem Cihansah in the 52nd minute of the match. Özalp Başkara didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 1-10. With a little luck, B.DORTMUNT's Özalp Başkara got control of the ball when Rıfkı Pekant tried to sneak it across the goal line. Özalp Başkara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Resulhan Atlas in the 59th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ergin Topel during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to B.DORTMUNT getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ergin Topel hit a great ball. After 63 minutes, Rıfkı Pekant made it 1-11 with a short kick to the right side. B.DORTMUNT's Özalp Başkara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute of the match, Rıfkı Pekant got a very nice opportunity to score, but Özalp Başkara was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Muharrem Cihansah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Zygmunt Dropinski made a precise shot to the right of Özalp Başkara. B.DORTMUNT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-12. Rıfkı Pekant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özalp Başkara having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Muharrem Cihansah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-13. Özalp Başkara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rıfkı Pekant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Özalp Başkara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. B.DORTMUNT's Özalp Başkara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save B.DORTMUNT from getting a goal against them. When the match was over GeNaReTioN NeXT could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than B.DORTMUNT throughout the match.
