The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ahmet Ali Çokman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oğuz Habiboğlu in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute of the match, Haldun Orkutay got a very nice opportunity to score, but Asaf Irgatbaşı was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haldun Orkutay got free with Asaf Irgatbaşı in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Asaf Irgatbaşı yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Ahmet Ali Çokman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Güvenç Raif went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the match, Sabanözü SK's goalkeeper Asaf Irgatbaşı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haldun Orkutay. Güvenç Raif struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Ahmet Ali Çokman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabanözü SK. Arif Burak Olcay's late challenge caught a Ahmetli JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arif Burak Olcay helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sabanözü SK getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Arif Burak Olcay hit a great ball.

If Haldun Orkutay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Güvenç Raif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ahmet Ali Çokman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asaf Irgatbaşı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Akif Uğurhan in the 66th minute of play. When Haldun Orkutay came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ahmetli JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haldun Orkutay couldn't finish the play. Ahmetli JK's Baki Sarper couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sabanözü SK. In the 73rd minute Yetkin Çırağ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Ali Çokman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Yiğitcan Özaktuğ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmetli JK's Ahmet Ali Çokman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Ahmetli JK from getting a goal against them. Asaf Irgatbaşı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İzzet Özay in the 82nd minute of play. After 95 minutes of play, Ahmetli JK's Bilge Kağan Sadir made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Asaf Irgatbaşı was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 98th minute Haldun Orkutay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asaf Irgatbaşı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sabanözü SK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
