Ataman Perk might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Froilan Gutierrez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ataman Perk ran back to his position shaking his head. Froilan Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ataman Perk in the 39th minute of play. TCG Anadolu's Froilan Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ataman Perk in the 42nd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Mugla FK booed when TCG Anadolu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismet Taşdemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ataman Perk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Froilan Gutierrez was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 58 minutes into the game, Teodoro Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
