When Erhun Türkdoğan fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KURT's protests and gave Erhun Türkdoğan a yellow card for diving instead. Erhun Türkdoğan hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Soner Turking ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugenio Grilli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 26th minute, KURT's Hasret Cangiray ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kamuran Kayaer. Kamuran Kayaer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. KURT's Eugenio Grilli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yakup Kadri Ayalp in the 31st minute of play. Saffet Heybetli made a great header on Yeniçeriler's corner, it was just that KURT's Eugenio Grilli managed to reach the ball for a save. Ediz Tanbolat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Grilli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play.
