After a rather tough play, Kurfalıspor's Tao Guang Zhen got a free kick in the 11th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Kültepe Spor Kulübü's Necip Fazıl Aşık sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nemesio Johans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19thth minute of the game Ahmet Fikret Özduru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kültepe Spor Kulübü's Rüknettin Demirbaş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kurfalıspor's Nemesio Johans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necip Fazıl Aşık in the 23rd minute of play. Nemesio Johans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Necip Fazıl Aşık, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 45th minute, Cumali Uluberk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Kültepe Spor Kulübü getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Abdulbaki Aktaş hit a great ball. Tao Guang Zhen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rüknettin Demirbaş having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Ahmet Fikret Özduru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Rüknettin Demirbaş was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd minute, Afşin Hikmet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Kültepe Spor Kulübü defense, Afşin Hikmet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rüknettin Demirbaş. The Kültepe Spor Kulübü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rüknettin Demirbaş should have stopped the shot. Kültepe Spor Kulübü's Rüknettin Demirbaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afşin Hikmet in the 75th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Cengizhan Oykan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cumali Uluberk struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Rüknettin Demirbaş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kurfalıspor. After having played for 83 minutes, Cumali Uluberk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kurfalıspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cumali Uluberk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yılmaz Erbay's late challenge caught a Kültepe Spor Kulübü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yılmaz Erbay helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Kurfalıspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yılmaz Erbay to maneuver through the defense. Teoman Suel, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Teoman Suel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kültepe Spor Kulübü's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kurfalıspor the free kick. Kurfalıspor walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
