Dumlupinar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şeref Ziver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Haldun Han ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ünsal Koçaş was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Kamil Yazır charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kamil Yazır the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half Dumlupinar were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Şeref Zivers short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Ünsal Koçaş to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Adil Orcaner hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haldun Han in the 65th minute of play forced Beşiktaş JK's goalkeeper Ünsal Koçaş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Haldun Han got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Şeref Ziver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Ünsal Koçaş made a huge save. A collision led to Dumlupinar getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Adil Orcaner hit a great ball. If Haldun Han had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
