David Moiseev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Rui Vargas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Teofilo Llorca got his second yellow card in the match during the 46th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Teofilo Llorca kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Bengt-Arne Tönnberg made the kick off in the second half. Rui Vargas came out of the goal and Abdurrezzak Kadem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Galatasaray SK's Rui Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdurrezzak Kadem in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 苏阳康 in the 95th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Rui Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Galatasaray SK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
