To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Cide Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Mateusz Matusiak came free, but Federico Fagondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Birsel Keskinels short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Dursun Ekinci to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Federico Fagondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateusz Matusiak in the 18th minute of play. 1461 Trabzon's Mateusz Matusiak got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Yakup Kadri Yezid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Birsel Keskinel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dursun Ekinci. The goal made the score 1-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Luckham couldn't finish the play. Mateusz Matusiak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Federico Fagondo having to make a save. The supporters of Cide Spor booed when 1461 Trabzon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yao Tian Ran didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the referee blew the final whistle, Cide Spor could leave the field as winners, despite 1461 Trabzon having more of the ball for most of the match.
