Hu Jian Zhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Barrios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Wambasther Ribéry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hu Jian Zhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Hu Jian Zhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulu Hayırlı in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulu Hayırlı in the 14th minute of play forced Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's goalkeeper Hu Jian Zhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hu Jian Zhan came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by BordoMavi's Wambasther Ribéry. But to his dismay, Wambasther Ribéry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, BordoMavi's Kamuran Hanedan got control of the ball when Filip Soetemans tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filip Soetemans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kamuran Hanedan having to make a save. In the 32nd minute Alfredo Barrios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hu Jian Zhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip Soetemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip Soetemans got free with Kamuran Hanedan in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Barrios in the 38th minute of play forced Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's goalkeeper Hu Jian Zhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olgierd Wojtowicz hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Hu Jian Zhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulu Hayırlı, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulu Hayırlı to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrik Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Kamuran Hanedan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulu Hayırlı in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hu Jian Zhan saved Fenerbahce ISTANBUL from getting behind. After 54 minutes Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wambasther Ribéry who took care of the corner kick. BordoMavi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wambasther Ribéry in the 56th minute. After taking down the ball on BordoMavi's corner Wambasther Ribéry fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hu Jian Zhan quite easily take care of the ball. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Filip Soetemans got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kamuran Hanedan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Soetemans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filip Soetemans in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kamuran Hanedan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hu Jian Zhan made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Wambasther Ribéry sent off a good shot on target. Hu Jian Zhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulu Hayırlı in the 82nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the BordoMavi defense, Henrik Henriksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kamuran Hanedan. The BordoMavi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kamuran Hanedan should have stopped the shot. After 92nd play minutes Ulu Hayırlı shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Hu Jian Zhan and just under the crossbar into goal. When the final whistle sounded BordoMavi left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fenerbahce ISTANBUL.
