An unexpectedly hard shot by Tugay Özyurek in the 25th minute of play forced Sadikköy SK's goalkeeper Besim Özarı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Besim Özarı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Balaban in the 30th minute of play. Cappadocia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sabahattin Sümeroğlu in the 31st minute. In the 32nd match minute, Sadikköy SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asım-Ekrem Yaman to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Tugay Özyurek made a precise shot to the right of Besim Özarı. Sadikköy SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Mirkelam Başeğmez made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Behram Kayraalp sent off a good shot on target. Traian Balaban blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Besim Özarı having to make a save. 47 minutes into the match, Sadikköy SK's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Abechuco came free, but Besim Özarı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 49th minute of the match Cappadocia got a corner. Sadikköy SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sabahattin Sümeroğlu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Cappadocia's corner Arif Memduh Ziverbey fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Besim Özarı quite easily take care of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andreas Tsopelas was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cappadocia's Mustafa Kemal Atasan got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Cappadocia's Mirkelam Başeğmez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Behram Kayraalp in the 56th minute of play. Behram Kayraalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mirkelam Başeğmez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andreas Tsopelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mirkelam Başeğmez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asım-Ekrem Yaman, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Traian Balaban kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Mirkelam Başeğmez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Behram Kayraalp's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 70 minutes in the game, Behram Kayraalp dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 74th minute Andreas Tsopelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirkelam Başeğmez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sadikköy SK's zone, Tugay Özyurek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Besim Özarı came out of the goal and Tugay Özyurek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Kamber Saraç fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sadikköy SK's protests and gave Kamber Saraç a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sadikköy SK's Kamber Saraç got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ahmet Rıfat Nurdag hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes Cappadocia got a freekick which was hit by Sümer İshak.
