In the 28th minute İlhami Oyman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mümin Sarıkaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, KoTyoRa's goal looked a bit too open when Ünal Çetinay came free, but Mümin Sarıkaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ünal Çetinay in the 44th minute of play forced KoTyoRa's goalkeeper Mümin Sarıkaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Peyami Mürsel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute of the match, Yan Guo Yang tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vatan Necmi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 84th minute KoTyoRa were awarded a corner. Yaser Albayrak went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on KoTyoRa's corner Yaser Albayrak fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vatan Necmi quite easily take care of the ball. Mümin Sarıkaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İlhami Oyman in the 86th minute of the match. Peyami Mürsel might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vatan Necmi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peyami Mürsel ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, göztepe gençlik could leave the field as winners, despite KoTyoRa having more of the ball for most of the match.
