Iustin Vulturar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Eriberto Dias made a huge save. Süruri Demiray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mai Bo Shu, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Yelken Spor's goalkeeper Eriberto Dias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şansal Kudsi. 40 minutes into the match, Yelken Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Vulturar came free, but Eriberto Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Süruri Demiray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilmi Tuğalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Süruri Demiray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mai Bo Shu's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Şansal Kudsi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Dias having to interfere. The supporters of The Damned United booed when Yelken Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilmi Tuğalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

A collision led to The Damned United getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Şansal Kudsi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şansal Kudsi in the 57th minute of play forced Yelken Spor's goalkeeper Eriberto Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Iustin Vulturar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Yelken Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Şansal Kudsi came free, but Eriberto Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Iustin Vulturar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 70th minute Şansal Kudsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eriberto Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seyfi Çırakoğlu in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Serna in the 83rd minute of play forced The Damned United's goalkeeper Süruri Demiray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Damned United's Süruri Demiray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save The Damned United from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seyfi Çırakoğlu in the 90th minute of play forced Yelken Spor's goalkeeper Eriberto Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th match minute, Yelken Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hervé Gohier to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Seyfi Çırakoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Damned United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. The Damned United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
