Hüseyin Kakisim started the match with the kick off. Rakı Sevenler FC's Egemen Gencalp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Rakı Sevenler FC from getting a goal against them. Žarko Trobec's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egemen Gencalp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Mustafa Cumhur Erem was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rakı Sevenler FC's goalkeeper Egemen Gencalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hüseyin Kakisim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Egemen Gencalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şerif Nesil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa İzzet Rasih in the 26th minute of the match. Egemen Gencalp made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Hüseyin Kakisim sent off a good shot on target. Hüseyin Kakisim let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 33rd minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. Rakı Sevenler FC's Egemen Gencalp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Rakı Sevenler FC from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute, Roberto Carlos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Žarko Trobec reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Egemen Gencalp. The goal made the score 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peter Tonhauser to strike the kick off in the second half. If Žarko Trobec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egemen Gencalp came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Trakyaspor's Žarko Trobec. But to his dismay, Žarko Trobec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Cebrail Bağdaş kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rakı Sevenler FC's Ali Asım Buğra got a free kick in the 65th minute. Egemen Gencalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüseyin Kakisim, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute Roberto Carlos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egemen Gencalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Žarko Trobec in the 72nd minute of play forced Rakı Sevenler FC's goalkeeper Egemen Gencalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Žarko Trobec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 90 minutes into the game, Ali Asım Buğra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rakı Sevenler FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trakyaspor the free kick. A collision led to Rakı Sevenler FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ali Asım Buğra hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Žarko Trobec in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egemen Gencalp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bülent Korkmaz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, one of Rakı Sevenler FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rakı Sevenler FC. The supporters of Trakyaspor booed when Rakı Sevenler FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Tonhauser didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Trakyaspor were the better team. Trakyaspor's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
