The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ahmet Kağan Ünlü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gazi Hunalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Erik Magnusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aureliano Peio came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by GAZİKENT FK's Cemil Oral. But to his dismay, Cemil Oral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. İrfan İksir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gazi Hunalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of GAZİKENT FK booed when Trakya Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yahya Pehlivan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Kağan Ünlü got free with Aureliano Peio in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octavio Odon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aureliano Peio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. When GAZİKENT FK's Octavio Odon in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gazi Hunalp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, GAZİKENT FK's Asaf Aktaç got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Trakya Football Club's İrfan İksir in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Trakya Football Club's Aureliano Peio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cemil Oral in the 63rd minute of play. The GAZİKENT FK fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when GAZİKENT FK's Octavio Odon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gazi Hunalp was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vicky Osimhen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 71 minute of play. After 76 played minutes Trakya Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Magnusson. Gazi Hunalp made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Jan-Erik Magnusson sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th match minute, Trakya Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yahya Pehlivan to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavio Odon in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aureliano Peio saved Trakya Football Club from getting behind. Cemil Oral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Cemil Oral put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Aureliano Peio. 94 minutes into the match, Trakya Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Odon came free, but Aureliano Peio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cemil Oral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aureliano Peio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. GAZİKENT FK were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Trakya Football Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Battal Gazi Bozdağ took the corner. After some careless play in the Trakya Football Club defense, Cemil Oral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aureliano Peio. The Trakya Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aureliano Peio should have stopped the shot.
