The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Trakya Football Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MAVİ İSTANBUL FC:s goal. The referee gave MAVİ İSTANBUL FC a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Temel Koçak, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Trakya Football Club's Aureliano Peio. 0-1. Ali Orhan Tuncer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicky Osimhen in the 27th minute of the match. The MAVİ İSTANBUL FC fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's Alptuğ Boğataş looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alptuğ Boğataş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Erik Magnusson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Trakya Football Club's goalkeeper Aureliano Peio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramon Lonzo. In the 69th minute Alptuğ Boğataş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's attentive Aktuğ Dalga managed to snatch the ball when Sancar Ömer made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Trakya Football Club's Sancar Ömer got a free kick in the 75th minute. Aureliano Peio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alptuğ Boğataş in the 76th minute of play. The throw-in from Sancar Ömer in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's Doğa Baycan. Aureliano Peio stood somewhat misplaced when Alptuğ Boğataş came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 78 minute. Alptuğ Boğataş might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aureliano Peio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alptuğ Boğataş ran back to his position shaking his head. Steve Steven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sancar Ömer hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Alptuğ Boğataş's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Aureliano Peio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 87thth minute of the game Alptuğ Boğataş who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trakya Football Club's Aureliano Peio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Steve Steven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Orhan Tuncer having to interfere. In the 95th minute, MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's Alptuğ Boğataş ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aureliano Peio. Aureliano Peio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MAVİ İSTANBUL FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
