Osman Nuri Saltukalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osman Nuri Mansız in the 6th minute of the match. Bordo Mavi's Osman Nuri Saltukalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Holmstedt in the 9th minute of play. Saip Baltaş made an important save on a dangerous shot by Crawford Korff in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Crawford Korff recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Saip Baltaş. Crawford Korff showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Carvalho in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osman Nuri Saltukalp saved Bordo Mavi from getting behind. Saip Baltaş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabinho Branco in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the Salamanca UDS defense, Fabinho Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saip Baltaş. The Salamanca UDS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saip Baltaş should have stopped the shot. Osman Nuri Saltukalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Osman Nuri Mansız hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Joaquim Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osman Nuri Saltukalp. Bordo Mavi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquim Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The supporters of Bordo Mavi booed when Salamanca UDS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yetkin Emek didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. Leopold Heinloo hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Saip Baltaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celal Kocakalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th match minute, Bordo Mavi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celal Kocakalp to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Hao Hong Chang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Salamanca UDS's Leopold Heinloo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Celal Kocakalp sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Salamanca UDS's Saip Baltaş didn't even have to move. If Mircea Chircu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saip Baltaş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute Gedson Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saip Baltaş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Osman Nuri Mansız reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osman Nuri Saltukalp. The goal made the score 2-2. Salamanca UDS succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Bordo Mavi had controlled the match.
