Spectators: 8482 (Terracing: 6363, Seating: 1950, VIP seats: 169) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Chesney Nicholson kicked off to start the match. Tahir Tanbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Nurtekin Üner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Chesney Nicholson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deniz Orsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match MERT FC got a corner. Orduspor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ahmet Orhan Kutulmuş ran over to the corner to take the kick. 18 minutes into the game, Stefan Indyk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orduspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MERT FC the free kick. In the 18th minute, Stefan Indyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nurtekin Üner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tahir Tanbay in the 34th minute of the match. After 35 minutes of play Orduspor's Stefan Indyk was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Chesney Nicholson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Deniz Orsel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Tahir Tanbay made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, MERT FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Recep Çetin to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, MERT FC's Nurtekin Üner got control of the ball when Tahir Tanbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tahir Tanbay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nurtekin Üner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in MERT FC's zone, Tahir Tanbay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nurtekin Üner came out of the goal and Tahir Tanbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chesney Nicholson in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Deniz Orsel saved Orduspor from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Chesney Nicholson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Deniz Orsel. Orduspor's Buğrahan Subutay was substituted for Songurbey Tümen. After some careless play in the Orduspor defense, Chesney Nicholson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Deniz Orsel. The Orduspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Deniz Orsel should have stopped the shot. After 81 minutes Orduspor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ahmet Orhan Kutulmuş who took care of the corner kick. The corner led MERT FC's Ahmet Orhan Kutulmuş to fire away a dangerous shot which Deniz Orsel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Orduspor's zone, Recep Çetin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deniz Orsel came out of the goal and Recep Çetin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emran Ulutekin got free with Nurtekin Üner in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chesney Nicholson in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Deniz Orsel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emran Ulutekin in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nurtekin Üner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 94th minute, Buğrahan Subutay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
