The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Ahmet Koralp Özsu made a precise shot to the right of Greger Fribäck. Real Salsa F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ximenes Oñatibia might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vacib Bartu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ximenes Oñatibia ran back to his position shaking his head. Los Tatangelos's Vacib Bartu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Los Tatangelos from getting a goal against them. If Gürbüz Hendekli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Tatangelos's goalkeeper Vacib Bartu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute Real Salsa F.C. were awarded a corner. Osman Ali Okutan went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Real Salsa F.C.'s corner Federico Duarte fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vacib Bartu quite easily take care of the ball. Greger Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürbüz Hendekli in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Candelario Saavedra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greger Fribäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ximenes Oñatibia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vacib Bartu having to make a save. Los Tatangelos's Vacib Bartu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximenes Oñatibia in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Ximenes Oñatibia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vacib Bartu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Jorge Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vacib Bartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ximenes Oñatibia in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ximenes Oñatibia in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vacib Bartu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 38 minutes, Ximenes Oñatibia made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Los Tatangelos's Vacib Bartu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Candelario Saavedra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Gürbüz Hendekli made a great header on Los Tatangelos's corner, it was just that Real Salsa F.C.'s Greger Fribäck managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 55th match minute, Real Salsa F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osman Ali Okutan to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Adérito Aleixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Candelario Saavedras short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Greger Fribäck to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natalio Txeru in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vacib Bartu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Real Salsa F.C.'s Abidin Buminhan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ahmet Koralp Özsu, made in the 67th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Txeru in the 68th minute of play forced Los Tatangelos's goalkeeper Vacib Bartu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Real Salsa F.C.'s Natalio Txeru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vacib Bartu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Ahmet Koralp Özsu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Los Tatangelos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Los Tatangelos made a substitution. Gaffar Gülsoy replaced Adérito Aleixo. Los Tatangelos's Arif Nihat Torgay was substituted for Ahmet Koralp Özsu. Los Tatangelos's Dündar Ülkenur was substituted for Candelario Saavedra. A collision led to Los Tatangelos getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jorge Figueiredo hit a great ball. Vacib Bartu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Txeru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natalio Txeru might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vacib Bartu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natalio Txeru ran back to his position shaking his head. Vacib Bartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Txeru in the 88th minute of play. Natalio Txeru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vacib Bartu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Vacib Bartu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Natalio Txeru went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score.
