Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mortada Al Mofede made the kick off which started today's match. If Mortada Al Mofede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Mortada Al Mofede put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ghazi Al Sayer. After a rather tough play, Crystal Palace FC's Manaf Al Saffar got a free kick in the 12th minute. Damac's Dhari Al Amer got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sultan Baroun in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ghazi Al Sayer saved Crystal Palace FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Damac's Naem Al Hashash got a free kick in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mortada Al Mofede in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ghazi Al Sayer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sultan Baroun struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ghazi Al Sayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Damac. Ghazi Al Sayer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nawaf Al Najdi went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Mortada Al Mofede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ghazi Al Sayer having to interfere. Sultan Baroun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nawaf Al Najdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ghazi Al Sayer having to interfere. The supporters of Damac booed when Crystal Palace FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manaf Al Saffar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damac's Sultan Baroun got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Ghazi Al Sayer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naem Al Hashash in the 52nd minute. After 52 minutes, Manaf Al Saffar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crystal Palace FC and the Damac players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ghazi Al Sayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naem Al Hashash in the 68th minute of the match. Nawaf Al Najdi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sultan Baroun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Nawaf Al Najdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ghazi Al Sayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naem Al Hashash received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ghazi Al Sayer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ghazi Al Sayer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nawaf Al Najdi in the 77th minute of play. Mortada Al Mofede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ghazi Al Sayer having to interfere. If Naem Al Hashash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nawaf Al Najdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ghazi Al Sayer having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Nawaf Al Najdi rounded Crystal Palace FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Crystal Palace FC's Ghazi Al Sayer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Crystal Palace FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Crystal Palace FC's Ghazi Al Sayer got control of the ball when Naem Al Hashash tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nawaf Al Najdi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ghazi Al Sayer was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. When the match was over Damac could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Crystal Palace FC throughout the match.
