In the 17th minute, Hassan Al Homaithe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fahad Al Hammady struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ghazi Al Sayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horbury ACS. In the 27th minute Ghanim Al Kandere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Masuod Al Fadhalah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ameer Al Hajris short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Masuod Al Fadhalah to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hassan Al Homaithe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hassan Al Homaithe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ghazi Al Sayer having to interfere. Sadeq Al Azmi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ghazi Al Sayer having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Horbury ACS's Hassan Al Homaithe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ghazi Al Sayer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Crystal Palace FC's goalkeeper Ghazi Al Sayer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Shaheen Al Azmi fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horbury ACS's protests and gave Shaheen Al Azmi a yellow card for diving instead. Horbury ACS's Masuod Al Fadhalah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manaf Al Saffar in the 46th minute of play. Masuod Al Fadhalah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ghanim Al Kandere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hassan Al Homaithe was the one to do the kick off. Masuod Al Fadhalah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ameer Al Hajri in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Qais Al Fadhalah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Ameer Al Hajri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crystal Palace FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 61st minute Ghanim Al Kandere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Masuod Al Fadhalah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ammar Al Qatam's late challenge caught a Crystal Palace FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 94th minute Ameer Al Hajri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Masuod Al Fadhalah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qais Al Fadhalah charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Qais Al Fadhalah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Horbury ACS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Qais Al Fadhalah to maneuver through the defense. Crystal Palace FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
