Vacid Gündeş came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Al-Ahli's Mamdouh Hayat. But to his dismay, Mamdouh Hayat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sarhan Al Mulaifi kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Vacid Gündeş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mamdouh Hayat, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Al-Ahli booed when Al Hilal Saudi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luai Al Motaire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Myr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clud Almagro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Motlaq Al Zamel in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Al Hilal Saudi's goal looked a bit too open when Matey Dachevski came free, but Vacid Gündeş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Al Hilal Saudi's Motlaq Al Zamel got a free kick in the 17th minute. 최 마 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vacid Gündeş having to interfere. In the 28th minute Matey Dachevski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vacid Gündeş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mansour Al Matrok kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clud Almagro. That made the score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matey Dachevski in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vacid Gündeş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matey Dachevski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Al-Ahli's Åke Myr got a free kick in the 37th minute. Shabeb Bo Hamad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Clud Almagro made a huge save. Al-Ahli's Clud Almagro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Al-Ahli from getting a goal against them. When Derar Al Saffar fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Al Hilal Saudi's protests and gave Derar Al Saffar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Derar Al Saffar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Al Hilal Saudi's Moner Al Bahar in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Al-Ahli's goalie prevented a goal. In the 47th minute, Al Hilal Saudi's Moner Al Bahar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clud Almagro. Clud Almagro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2.
In the 53rd minute, Motlaq Al Zamel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Al Hilal Saudi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. With a little luck, Al Hilal Saudi's Vacid Gündeş got control of the ball when Othman Al Shaikh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clud Almagro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moner Al Bahar went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Mansour Al Matrok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Clud Almagro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Motlaq Al Zamel charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Motlaq Al Zamel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 69 minutes, Matey Dachevski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Al-Ahli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matey Dachevski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Matey Dachevski came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Al-Ahli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matey Dachevski couldn't finish the play. Al Hilal Saudi made a substitution. Arkadiusz Zacharek replaced Luai Al Motaire. Al Hilal Saudi's Fermin Rosio was substituted for Mansour Al Matrok. Clud Almagro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Auðbergur Gretarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Matey Dachevskis short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Vacid Gündeş to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 86 minutes, Shabeb Bo Hamad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Al Hilal Saudi and the Al-Ahli players grew even worse after the yellow card. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Al Hilal Saudi's Arkadiusz Zacharek suffered a concussion after 93 minutes and had to leave the field. The supporters of Al-Ahli booed when Al Hilal Saudi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Motlaq Al Zamel didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Al-Ahli players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Al Hilal Saudi.
