In the 27th minute, Weir AFC's Abdelnaser Al Mahmed dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 30 played minutes Weir AFC got a freekick which was hit by Younis Khorshed. 37 minutes into the match, Weir AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mamdouh Hayat came free, but 董斐霆 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Matey Dachevski made a precise shot to the right of 董斐霆. Weir AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Matey Dachevski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving 董斐霆. That made the score 1-3 in the 59 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Bonifaz in the 76th minute of play forced Al-Ahli's goalkeeper Clud Almagro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Weir AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. The referee ignored Weir AFC's protests and gave Emiliano Bonifaz a yellow card for diving instead. Mamdouh Hayat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but 董斐霆 made a huge save. Matey Dachevski kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over Al-Ahli could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Weir AFC throughout the match.
