Timofey Bushinskiy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Velimir Allagulov's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. The supporters of Novorossiysk FC booed when Kazan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikolay Maksimov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match Arsen Pehtin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guriy Gavrilov skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Velimir Allagulov in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timofey Bushinskiy saved Novorossiysk FC from getting behind. In the 22nd minute Stepan Fedorov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guriy Gavrilov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velimir Allagulov in the 24th minute of play forced Novorossiysk FC's goalkeeper Timofey Bushinskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 played minutes Novorossiysk FC got a freekick which was hit by Nikolay Akinfeev. Eduard Ignashevich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Timofey Bushinskiy made a huge save. If Velimir Allagulov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Novorossiysk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Velimir Allagulov came free, but Timofey Bushinskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Velimir Allagulov to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 95 minutes, Vitaliy Starshinin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kazan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitaliy Starshinin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kazan were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Novorossiysk FC for a fine match.
