Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anatoliy Knyshev kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the game, one of Shahty:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The supporters of Shahty booed when Barnaul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klim Dovlatov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shahty's Igor Erarskiy was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vyacheslav Bykovskiy in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 16th minute, Nikolay Gorlukovich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Barnaul FC's zone, Adam Buzlanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vyacheslav Bykovskiy came out of the goal and Adam Buzlanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Barnaul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Kastalskiy came free, but Vyacheslav Bykovskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Kastalskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Barnaul FC's Anatoliy Knyshev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maksim Bogushevich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Shahty players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Barnaul FC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pavel Kastalskiy to strike the kick off in the second half. Pavel Kastalskiy might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vyacheslav Bykovskiy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavel Kastalskiy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58thth minute of the game Pavel Kastalskiy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barnaul FC's Vyacheslav Bykovskiy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Anatoliy Knyshev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Buzlanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pavel Kastalskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Vyacheslav Bykovskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavel Kastalskiy took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vyacheslav Bykovskiy. Vyacheslav Bykovskiy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 75thth minute of the game Pavel Kastalskiy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barnaul FC's Vyacheslav Bykovskiy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maksim Bogushevich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstantin Sharapov in the 79th minute. Pavel Kastalskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Vyacheslav Bykovskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute Pavel Kastalskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vyacheslav Bykovskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barnaul FC's Vyacheslav Bykovskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Buzlanov in the 88th minute of play. If Adam Buzlanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Konstantin Sharapov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Pavel Kastalskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shahty's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavel Kastalskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vyacheslav Bykovskiy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
