An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Galperin in the 7th minute of play forced Krylya Sovetov's goalkeeper Vladimir Golubkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Metal booed when Krylya Sovetov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tenyo Kyuchukov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir Golubkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Pavlov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Krylya Sovetov's goal looked a bit too open when Leonid Kazakov came free, but Vladimir Golubkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikhail Makovskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zinoviy Vissarionov having to interfere. With a little luck, Metal's Zinoviy Vissarionov got control of the ball when Sergey Benigsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Krylya Sovetov's Vladimir Golubkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonid Kazakov in the 20th minute of play. Valentin Galperin scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimir Golubkin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mikhail Makovskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Sergey Benigsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Zinoviy Vissarionov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Krylya Sovetov getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Pavel Mogilevskiy hit a great ball. If Pavel Mogilevskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimir Golubkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Galperin in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Sergey Benigsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Zinoviy Vissarionov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tenyo Kyuchukov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Oskar Babaitsev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zinoviy Vissarionov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zinoviy Vissarionov came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Krylya Sovetov's Tenyo Kyuchukov. But to his dismay, Tenyo Kyuchukov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 71st minute Innokentiy Gribovskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Golubkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Krylya Sovetov's goal looked a bit too open when Innokentiy Gribovskiy came free, but Vladimir Golubkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zinoviy Vissarionov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Mogilevskiy in the 73rd minute of the match. Mikhail Makovskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Krylya Sovetov's Oskar Babaitsev got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimir Golubkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonid Kazakov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oskar Babaitsev might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zinoviy Vissarionov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oskar Babaitsev ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Krylya Sovetov booed when Metal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Innokentiy Gribovskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir Golubkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Pavlov in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Krylya Sovetov fully deserved thier win.
