Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Innokentiy Pogorelskiy started the match with the kick off. After 10 minutes of play, Piter's Innokentiy Pogorelskiy made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aleksandr Aleksashin was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Belgorod getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Egor Chernov hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Ernest Bobylev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Kogogin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleksandr Aleksashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Innokentiy Pogorelskiy's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. The supporters of Belgorod booed when Piter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Biryukov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ernest Bobylev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Kogogin was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 33rd minute Belgorod were awarded a corner. Egor Chernov went to the cornerflag to take it. Egor Chernov made a great header on Belgorod's corner, it was just that Piter's David Kogogin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 34th minute of the match, Georgiy Guschin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aleksandr Aleksashin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Innokentiy Pogorelskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandr Aleksashin having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ernest Bobylev made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Belgorod got a freekick which was hit by Klim Matveev. David Kogogin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Bobylev, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After some careless play in the Belgorod defense, Innokentiy Pogorelskiy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aleksandr Aleksashin. The Belgorod fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aleksandr Aleksashin should have stopped the shot. Emmanuil Zaitsev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aleksandr Aleksashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Innokentiy Pogorelskiy's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Piter's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Bobylev came free, but David Kogogin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Kogogin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Bobylev, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Georgiy Guschin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Piter's Stanislav Lisin got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Biryukov kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Belgorod's Ernest Bobylev got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Piter were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Belgorod for a fine match.
