Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Irakliy Basalaev started the match with the kick off. When Yuriy Kartashev came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Inter Stavropol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuriy Kartashev couldn't finish the play. Yuriy Kartashev struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Yuriy Galumov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter Stavropol. After having played for 12 minutes, Irakliy Basalaev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter Stavropol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irakliy Basalaev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 played minutes Noginsk HC got a freekick which was hit by Filimon Osipov. In the 22nd minute, Irakliy Basalaev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuriy Galumov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 29 minutes into the game, Inter Stavropol's Yuriy Kartashev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yuriy Galumov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Irakliy Basalaev sped through Noginsk HC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yuriy Galumov. If Yuriy Kartashev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuriy Galumov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irakliy Basalaev in the 42nd minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Vitaliy Belov rounded Inter Stavropol's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Yuriy Galumov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irakliy Basalaev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitaliy Belov was the one to do the kick off. When Anatoliy Pyanov came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Noginsk HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anatoliy Pyanov couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Anatoliy Pyanov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Noginsk HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anatoliy Pyanov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sevastyan Smertin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inter Stavropol's Irakliy Basalaev came free and shot a quick shot against goal 58 minutes in the game, fortunately Yuriy Galumov had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Yuriy Galumov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuriy Kartashev in the 60th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Stepan Eshtrekov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yuriy Galumov. Stepan Eshtrekov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Yuriy Galumov made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Irakliy Basalaev sent off a good shot on target. Yuriy Kartashev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Yuriy Galumov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sevastyan Smertin came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Noginsk HC's Anatoliy Pyanov. But to his dismay, Anatoliy Pyanov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Noginsk HC's goalkeeper Yuriy Galumov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Noginsk HC's Yuriy Galumov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuriy Kartashev in the 85th minute of play. Irakliy Basalaev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuriy Galumov having to interfere. If Yuriy Kartashev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Inter Stavropol could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Noginsk HC throughout the match.
