Rostov's Felix Kobeko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Rostov from getting a goal against them. Rostov's Yaroslav Gorshkov quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ivan Korchemkin, made in the 11th minute of the game. The supporters of Rostov booed when Ekaterinburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Korchemkin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Ekaterinburg got a freekick which was hit by Evgeniy Kovtun. Rostov's Felix Kobeko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Rostov from getting a goal against them. When Rostov's Emmanuil Dmitrievskiy in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ekaterinburg's goalie prevented a goal. Ekaterinburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Irakliy Babich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Egor Belyakov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmanuil Dmitrievskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Ekaterinburg's goal looked a bit too open when Emmanuil Dmitrievskiy came free, but Egor Belyakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Emmanuil Dmitrievskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rostov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emmanuil Dmitrievskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emmanuil Dmitrievskiy struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Egor Belyakov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rostov.
The wind increased when Evgeniy Gorbunov made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Rostov's goal looked a bit too open when Evgeniy Gorbunov came free, but Felix Kobeko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andron Abaturov struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Egor Belyakov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rostov. The referee showed Maksim Kalinka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Ekaterinburg got a freekick which was hit by Maksim Kalinka. Boris Bessonov was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the game, one of Rostov:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Ekaterinburg. Ivan Korchemkin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Felix Kobeko. 1-1. Andron Abaturov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egor Belyakov having to interfere. Egor Belyakov came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Rostov's Irakliy Babich. But to his dismay, Irakliy Babich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gennadiy Barannikov's late challenge caught a Ekaterinburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gennadiy Barannikov helped the player get up and apologised. Irakliy Babich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Ekaterinburg's Evgeniy Gorbunov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felix Kobeko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Despite being the better team, Rostov failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
