Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rudolf Knyshenko started the match with the kick off. Filimon Chigorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolf Knyshenko in the 7th minute of play. If Rostislav Orlov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tihon Beloded blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Konstantin Levko having to make a save. Konstantin Levko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Makarkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A collision led to Vladivostok getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Igor Makarkin hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Rostislav Orlov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filimon Chigorin. Vladivostok's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rostislav Orlov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 20th minute, Rostislav Orlov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filimon Chigorin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Kaluga's zone, Tihon Beloded stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konstantin Levko came out of the goal and Tihon Beloded tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Tihon Beloded got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tihon Beloded during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kaluga booed when Vladivostok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tihon Beloded didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konstantin Levko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tihon Beloded in the 43rd minute of the match. When Igor Makarkin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. The Vladivostok players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kaluga were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tihon Beloded to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Efim Babayan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filimon Chigorin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Filimon Chigorin made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Rostislav Orlov sent off a good shot on target. Rostislav Orlov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Vladivostok's Filimon Chigorin got control of the ball when Rostislav Orlov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filimon Chigorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Knyshenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Roman Hardiny was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vladivostok's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kaluga the free kick. The supporters of Kaluga booed when Vladivostok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Hardiny didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Vladivostok's goalkeeper Filimon Chigorin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Perevalov. If Egor Fadeev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Tihon Beloded got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88 played minutes Kaluga got a freekick which was hit by Efim Babayan. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kaluga eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
