The audience thought a goal was coming when Egor Makovkin got free with Silantiy Yudin in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rudolf Geibovich kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Donat Hlebnikov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kovrov's supporters rose to their feet, but Donat Hlebnikov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silantiy Yudin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 minutes, Nikolay Buznikin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kovrov and the Dzerzhinsk HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dzerzhinsk HC booed when Kovrov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikolay Buznikin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitaliy Bogorodskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Kovrov's Donat Hlebnikov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silantiy Yudin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donat Hlebnikov in the 66th minute of play forced Dzerzhinsk HC's goalkeeper Silantiy Yudin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigoriy Pashin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitaliy Bogorodskiy having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Aleksandr Chermenskiy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitaliy Bogorodskiy was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Egor Makovkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84th play minutes Donat Hlebnikov shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Silantiy Yudin and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yakov Babarikov during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes Dzerzhinsk HC got a freekick which was hit by Yakov Babarikov. Donat Hlebnikov struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Kovrov fully deserved thier win.
