Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Evgeniy Terentiev got free with Yuriy Podkopalov in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 1-0 became the score in the 9th minute when Evgeniy Terentiev elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 14th minute Artur Chervitskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriy Kapustin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Ekaterinburg FC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Giermati. In the 18th minute, Rudolf Ignatov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Giermati's late challenge caught a Korolev's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Giermati helped the player get up and apologised. Ilya Pogudin kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Yaroslav Ostankin shot a long shot in the 35th minute and a light blocked Valeriy Kapustin hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-1. Evgeniy Terentiev's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Yuriy Podkopalov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artur Chervitskiy in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valeriy Kapustin saved Ekaterinburg FC from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Demyan Sidorov to make the kick off. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Korolev's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Boris Zagorskiy was slow to take the kick. During this time Ekaterinburg FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Boris Zagorskiy almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Korolev's Yuriy Podkopalov did a great save. In the 55th minute, Evgeniy Terentiev made a precise shot to the right of Yuriy Podkopalov. Korolev's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Demyan Sidorov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Yuriy Podkopalov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuriy Podkopalov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evgeniy Terentiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Yuriy Podkopalov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Demyan Sidorov's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Demyan Sidorov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Evgeniy Terentiev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Yuriy Podkopalov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yuriy Podkopalov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evgeniy Terentiev in the 83rd minute of play. Evgeniy Terentiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ekaterinburg FC booed when Korolev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arseniy Baibakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demyan Sidorov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuriy Podkopalov having to interfere. Ekaterinburg FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
