Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ilya Tolbuhin to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Butenko got free with Yuriy Podkopalov in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Korolev's Yaroslav Ostankin got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Artur Chervitskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Korolev's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Chervitskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arseniy Maltsev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Rudolf Ignatov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Denis Butenko came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Novorossiysk FC fans jumped to their feet. Denis Butenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yuriy Podkopalov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Ostap Artemev recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yuriy Podkopalov. Ostap Artemev showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Novorossiysk FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
