The supporters of Lipetsk booed when Grozny FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Polyakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute, Vitaliy Filimonov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Lipetsk's goal looked a bit too open when Andrey Berketov came free, but Stepan Sidorov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitaliy Filimonov scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matvey Kartashev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leonid Prusakov's late challenge caught a Grozny FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonid Prusakov helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Lipetsk got a freekick which was hit by Leonid Prusakov. Matvey Kartashev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitaliy Filimonov's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Grozny FC's Matvey Kartashev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Grozny FC from getting a goal against them. Stepan Sidorov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Silin in the 20th minute of the match. The corner led Grozny FC's Aleksey Bolotin to fire away a dangerous shot which Stepan Sidorov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Matvey Kartashev made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Vitaliy Filimonov sent off a good shot on target. Matvey Kartashev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evgeniy Stukalin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Grozny FC's Matvey Kartashev got control of the ball when Andrey Novosadov tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Evgeniy Stukalin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matvey Kartashev. Evgeniy Stukalin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 33rd minute, Evgeniy Stukalin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matvey Kartashev. The goal made the score 3-0. Vladimir Silin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stepan Sidorov having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the match, Grozny FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vitaliy Filimonov came free, but Matvey Kartashev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitaliy Filimonov in the 53rd minute of play forced Grozny FC's goalkeeper Matvey Kartashev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Lipetsk's Vitaliy Filimonov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matvey Kartashev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Lipetsk's Emil Lytkin was substituted for Mikhail Abramovich. Lipetsk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. A collision led to Lipetsk getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Andrey Novosadov hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Lev Dobropolskiy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stepan Sidorov skillfully saved the ball. Matvey Kartashev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evgeniy Stukalin in the 95th minute of the match. If Emil Lytkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Lipetsk players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
