The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Naberezhnye Chelny FC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Naberezhnye Chelny FC's Anton Babich looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 21 minutes, Ippolit Kudinov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oktyabrsky FC and the Naberezhnye Chelny FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Oktyabrsky FC's Ippolit Kudinov got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Igor Borisov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naberezhnye Chelny FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Borisov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 minutes, Stepan Antipov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oktyabrsky FC and the Naberezhnye Chelny FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Oktyabrsky FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stepan Antipov to maneuver through the defense. Igor Borisov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vyacheslav Rogovskiy having to interfere. A collision led to Oktyabrsky FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ippolit Kudinov hit a great ball. Yuriy Dementiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vyacheslav Rogovskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vyacheslav Rogovskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Babich in the 33rd minute of play. Oleg Kanivetskiy's late challenge caught a Naberezhnye Chelny FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oleg Kanivetskiy helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Oktyabrsky FC's Oleg Kanivetskiy got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Oleg Kanivetskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Naberezhnye Chelny FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Kostin came free, but Rostislav Baidak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Oktyabrsky FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stepan Antipov to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Babich in the 42nd minute of play forced Oktyabrsky FC's goalkeeper Vyacheslav Rogovskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Yuriy Dementiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anton Babich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Naberezhnye Chelny FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipp Aksenov to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rdth minute of the game Evgeniy Prudnikov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Naberezhnye Chelny FC's Rostislav Baidak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vyacheslav Rogovskiy made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Roman Timonov sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Babich in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vyacheslav Rogovskiy saved Oktyabrsky FC from getting behind. Vyacheslav Rogovskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Babich in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Oleg Kanivetskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Igor Borisov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stepan Antipov kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Filipp Aksenov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Vyacheslav Rogovskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Vladimir Kostin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oktyabrsky FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Igor Borisov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Vyacheslav Rogovskiy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 93rd match minute, Oktyabrsky FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ippolit Kudinov to maneuver through the defense. After 95 minutes of play, Oktyabrsky FC's Vladimir Kostin made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rostislav Baidak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Many of Naberezhnye Chelny FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Naberezhnye Chelny FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Oktyabrsky FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
