Konstantin Vasiliev kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. A collision led to Saratov HC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Roman Arshavin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrey Novikov in the 48th minute of play forced Ivanovo HC's goalkeeper Eduard Hayaletdinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
