Arseniy Lihobaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandr Arnautov having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Zlatoust FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniil Malysh came free, but Aleksey Smertin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Daniil Malysh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aleksey Smertin. Zlatoust FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniil Malysh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Daniil Malysh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Dinamo St. Petersburg's Yaromir Tarasov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aleksey Smertin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Zlatoust FC's Egor Bazyuta got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some careless play in the Zlatoust FC defense, Yaromir Tarasov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aleksey Smertin. The Zlatoust FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aleksey Smertin should have stopped the shot. Aleksey Smertin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yaromir Tarasov went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniil Malysh was the one to do the kick off. Aleksey Smertin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniil Malysh in the 57th minute. Dinamo St. Petersburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zlatoust FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Dinamo St. Petersburg's Zinoviy Mamentev got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Dinamo St. Petersburg played a much better game than Zlatoust FC and deserved their victory. The Zlatoust FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
