With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maksim Ryabin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes in the game, Konstantin Belyakov fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Maksim Ryabin having to interfere. When Danila Durov fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nefteyugansk's protests and gave Danila Durov a yellow card for diving instead. Danila Durov hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, Nefteyugansk's goalkeeper Maksim Ryabin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Konstantin Belyakov. Tihon Ilyin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maksim Ryabin having to make a save. Oleg Aldanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oleg Selivanov in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ZSKA's Vadim Hrulev got a free kick in the 37th minute. Gleb Fedulin hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 40 played minutes Nefteyugansk got a freekick which was hit by Kirill Filippov. Maksim Ryabin made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Konstantin Belyakov sent off a good shot on target. 44 minutes into the match, Gennadiy Kabanov notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ZSKA's Oleg Aldanov. Oleg Aldanov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After having played for 52 minutes, Konstantin Belyakov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZSKA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konstantin Belyakov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tihon Ilyin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute Oleg Selivanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oleg Aldanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ZSKA's Oleg Aldanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oleg Selivanov in the 62nd minute of play. Oleg Selivanov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oleg Aldanov came out and tried to block the shot, but Oleg Selivanov slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 63rd minute. Oleg Aldanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Kabanov in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to ZSKA getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Gleb Fedulin hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Konstantin Belyakov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maksim Ryabin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantin Belyakov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ZSKA's Oleg Aldanov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save ZSKA from getting a goal against them. Daniil Anyakin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gennadiy Kabanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oleg Aldanov having to interfere. Gennadiy Kabanov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 98thth minute, Oleg Aldanov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Nefteyugansk had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
