After 18 minutes, Dmitriy Vinogradov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vladivostok and the Kislovodsk players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Vladivostok getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Dmitriy Vinogradov hit a great ball. Aleksandr Zhuravlev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute of the match Mark Ivkov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timofey Ivlev skillfully saved the ball. Mark Ivkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Timofey Ivlev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timofey Ivlev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ndu Ichen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Kislovodsk's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Gurev came free, but Leif Vallmark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladislav Stoyanov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leif Vallmark firmly grabbed it by the left post. 34 minutes into the match, Mark Ivkov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timofey Ivlev. Vladivostok's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mark Ivkov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ndu Ichen in the 39th minute of play forced Vladivostok's goalkeeper Timofey Ivlev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oleg Knyazev got free with Leif Vallmark in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute, Ndu Ichen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kislovodsk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ndu Ichen was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Oleg Batanov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kislovodsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vladivostok the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Kislovodsk:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vladivostok:s goal. Leif Vallmark went to the wrong direction when Anton Gurev was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ndu Ichen took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timofey Ivlev. Timofey Ivlev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Valentin Ladynin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timofey Ivlev having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Valeriy Agafonnikov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Vallmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Gurev in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match, Aleksandr Zhuravlev tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Timofey Ivlev saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Ladynin in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timofey Ivlev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute Vladislav Stoyanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Vallmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Timofey Ivlev managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Kislovodsk's Ndu Ichen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 86 minutes into the game, Kislovodsk's Mark Ivkov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Timofey Ivlev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. After a defensive mix-up in Vladivostok's zone, Valentin Ladynin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timofey Ivlev came out of the goal and Valentin Ladynin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vladislav Stoyanov hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Kislovodsk's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
