After 5 played minutes, ЦСКА Москва's Stepan Blokhin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gennadiy Lisochkin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ЦСКА Москва reached it. Dimitrovgrad1 FC's Gennadiy Lisochkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirill Dybenko in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Kirill Dybenko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gennadiy Lisochkin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14th minute Henry Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gennadiy Lisochkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikita Lebedev scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gennadiy Lisochkin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikita Lebedev in the 19th minute of play forced Dimitrovgrad1 FC's goalkeeper Gennadiy Lisochkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Dimitrovgrad1 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nikita Lebedev came free, but Gennadiy Lisochkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gennadiy Lisochkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigoriy Ignatiev in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, ЦСКА Москва's Kirill Dybenko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gennadiy Lisochkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Yuriy Shurygin took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Mikhail Khokhlov to make any attempt to save it. Gennadiy Lisochkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigoriy Ignatiev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gennadiy Lisochkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Costa in the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in ЦСКА Москва's zone, Aleksandr Lavrenkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikhail Khokhlov came out of the goal and Aleksandr Lavrenkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yuriy Shurygin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Costa in the 43rd minute of play forced Dimitrovgrad1 FC's goalkeeper Gennadiy Lisochkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aleksandr Lavrenkov was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Dimitrovgrad1 FC's goalkeeper Gennadiy Lisochkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henry Costa. Mikhail Khokhlov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksandr Lavrenkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Gennadiy Lisochkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigoriy Ignatiev in the 59th minute of the match. Dimitrovgrad1 FC's Gennadiy Lisochkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Dimitrovgrad1 FC from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the match, Dimitrovgrad1 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kirill Dybenko came free, but Gennadiy Lisochkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th match minute, ЦСКА Москва was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kirill Dybenko to maneuver through the defense. When Dimitrovgrad1 FC's Aleksandr Lavrenkov in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aleksandr Lavrenkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikhail Khokhlov having to interfere. In the 93rd minute of the match Vasiliy Zlotnikov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikhail Khokhlov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Aleksandr Lavrenkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ЦСКА Москва's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
