Pavel Lytkin hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the match, Novosibirsk FC's Timur Kulakov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Hendrik van der Laan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Novosibirsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Lytkin came free, but David Kiyashko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Hendrik van der Laan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gleb Godzevich in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Novosibirsk FC booed when Novovyatich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitaliy Yakushev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonid Duvanov hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pavel Lytkin in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Kiyashko saved Novosibirsk FC from getting behind. Nikolay Favitskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Yuriy Panov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 played minutes Novosibirsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Zinoviy Minko. In the 32nd minute, Gleb Godzevich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Novosibirsk FC's zone, Yuriy Panov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Kiyashko came out of the goal and Yuriy Panov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zinoviy Minko kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. David Kiyashko came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Novovyatich's Pavel Lytkin. But to his dismay, Pavel Lytkin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half Novovyatich were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pavel Lytkin to make the kick off. Jan Hendrik van der Laan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Polikarp Myasnikov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gleb Godzevich kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jan Hendrik van der Laan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gleb Godzevich's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. If Timur Kulakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Polikarp Myasnikov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Hendrik van der Laan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timur Kulakov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gleb Godzevich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Timur Kulakov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Timur Kulakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Hendrik van der Laan having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Novovyatich's goal looked a bit too open when Timur Kulakov came free, but Jan Hendrik van der Laan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Terry Skottenborg kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Jan Hendrik van der Laan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gleb Godzevich in the 85th minute of the match. Timur Kulakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jan Hendrik van der Laan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timur Kulakov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
