After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Yuriy Panov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novovyatich's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuriy Panov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stepan Kulagin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute Stepan Medvedev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Hendrik van der Laan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stepan Medvedev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Stepan Medvedev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neftekamsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stepan Medvedev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pavel Lytkin in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stepan Kulagin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot by Oleg Kotov from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Jan Hendrik van der Laan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 63 minutes, Vitaliy Yakushev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novovyatich's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitaliy Yakushev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pavel Lytkin in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stepan Kulagin saved Neftekamsk from getting behind. When Konstantin Leostrin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. Pavel Lytkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stepan Kulagin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Novovyatich's Viktor Egorov got a free kick in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Neftekamsk's goal looked a bit too open when Timofey Ovcharenko came free, but Stepan Kulagin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuriy Panov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 94 played minutes Neftekamsk got a freekick which was hit by Stepan Medvedev. Novovyatich's Vitaliy Yakushev got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Vitaliy Yakushev off the ground. The supporters of Neftekamsk booed when Novovyatich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitaliy Yakushev didn't get a good kick on the ball.
