Haroldo Roldanillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zula Karbowski having to interfere. After a rather tough play, lipetsk's Vsevolod Turov got a free kick in the 6th minute. Daniel Flis scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zula Karbowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 15 minutes of play, lipetsk's Wlodzimierz Dziuma made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kazimierz Trynda was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Haroldo Roldanillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kazimierz Trynda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Dziuma, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, CSKA MOSKVA's goal looked a bit too open when Wlodzimierz Dziuma came free, but Kazimierz Trynda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zula Karbowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Roldanillo in the 24th minute of play. The lipetsk fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when lipetsk's Arkadiy Bestemyanov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A hard shot 36 in the game by Daniel Flis from a close distance when the talented Zula Karbowski managed to make a qualified save. lipetsk's players were relieved. Wlodzimierz Dziuma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, lipetsk's goalkeeper Zula Karbowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Flis. Kazimierz Trynda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wlodzimierz Dziuma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Flis got free with Zula Karbowski in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Flis to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, lipetsk's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Flis came free, but Zula Karbowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Roldanillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zula Karbowski was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 58th minute, Wlodzimierz Dziuma fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With an all-out effort, lipetsk's Kazimierz Trynda threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wlodzimierz Dziuma, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of CSKA MOSKVA booed when lipetsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wlodzimierz Dziuma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambróz Petrov's late challenge caught a lipetsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ambróz Petrov helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CSKA MOSKVA! When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, lipetsk's Wlodzimierz Dziuma got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kazimierz Trynda. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Petr Komarov managed to get in a good position for a shot. lipetsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Petr Komarov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kazimierz Trynda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arkadiy Bestemyanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wlodzimierz Dziuma hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 77 minutes of play, CSKA MOSKVA's Haroldo Roldanillo made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wlodzimierz Dziuma received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kazimierz Trynda came out and tried to block the shot, but Wlodzimierz Dziuma slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 91st minute. After 94 played minutes lipetsk got a freekick which was hit by Valeriy Kekcheev. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Flis in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zula Karbowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. lipetsk walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
