Voskresensk FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Stepan Holodovskiy scored to the left of an out of position Igor Akinfeev, making the score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stepan Holodovskiy in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Akinfeev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stepan Holodovskiy in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Akinfeev saved Voskresensk FC from getting behind. Antonio Sengrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrey Arshavin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, STORM's goal looked a bit too open when Andrey Arshavin came free, but Antonio Sengrat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. STORM's Antonio Sengrat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrey Arshavin in the 14th minute of play. Antonio Sengrat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrey Arshavin in the 17th minute of the match. Denis Lavrentev's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Igor Akinfeev skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vadim Basmannikov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Sengrat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Voskresensk FC were awarded a corner. Roman Doronin went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Roman Doronin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antonio Sengrat quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Denis Lavrentev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Igor Akinfeev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Igor Akinfeev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Lavrentev in the 26th minute. Denis Lavrentev's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Igor Akinfeev firmly grabbed it by the left post. 30 minutes into the match, Denis Lavrentev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Igor Akinfeev, 2-0. Roman Bolshakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Igor Akinfeev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

STORM made a substitution. Andrey Buznikin replaced Anton Varlamov. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vadim Basmannikov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Stepan Holodovskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Akinfeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Voskresensk FC's Andrey Arshavin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antonio Sengrat. That made the score 2-2 after 59 minutes of play. In the 65th minute Stepan Holodovskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Akinfeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Voskresensk FC made a substitution. Konstantin Lakhov replaced Vadim Basmannikov. If Denis Lavrentev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Akinfeev came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by STORM's Roman Bolshakov. But to his dismay, Roman Bolshakov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Antonio Sengrat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrey Arshavin in the 84th minute of the match. Grigoriy Agapov kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Denis Lavrentev put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Igor Akinfeev. Igor Akinfeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Lavrentev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. STORM's Andrey Sokolenko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Igor Akinfeev in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Konstantin Lakhov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Voskresensk FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for STORM.
