Evgeniy Fomichev hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Igor Akinfeev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Rioja, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute Geo-Winner were awarded a corner. Rostislav Kravets went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Geo-Winner's corner Rostislav Kravets fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Igor Akinfeev quite easily take care of the ball. After 7 played minutes Geo-Winner got a freekick which was hit by Veniamin Gorshkov. The crowd rose to their feet as Danila Kolobov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergey Sabadash. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. The supporters of Voskresensk FC booed when Geo-Winner was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Rioja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petr Klimovskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Igor Akinfeev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Danila Kolobov fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Voskresensk FC's protests and gave Danila Kolobov a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Voskresensk FC got a freekick which was hit by Danila Kolobov. 22 minutes into the match, Voskresensk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Rioja came free, but Igor Akinfeev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Cesar Rioja had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Akinfeev. Voskresensk FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesar Rioja was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Cesar Rioja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geo-Winner's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Rioja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Akinfeev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Voskresensk FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rostislav Kravets was slow to take the kick. During this time Geo-Winner's players had a chance to rest. Igor Akinfeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Rioja in the 35th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Voskresensk FC's Sergey Sabadash threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vadim Basmannikov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Geo-Winner fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Geo-Winner's Cesar Rioja looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Cesar Rioja's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Akinfeev was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. A collision led to Geo-Winner getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Vadim Kovrov hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danila Kolobov got free with Sergey Sabadash in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Geo-Winner were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vadim Basmannikov was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Igor Akinfeev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience was convinced that Cesar Rioja's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Akinfeev was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Geo-Winner's Maksim Dunaevskiy got a free kick in the 58th minute. Petr Klimovskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Igor Akinfeev made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Cesar Rioja's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Akinfeev was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danila Kolobov in the 64th minute of play forced Geo-Winner's goalkeeper Sergey Sabadash to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Rioja in the 66th minute of play forced Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergey Sabadash came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Voskresensk FC's Stepan Romm. But to his dismay, Stepan Romm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Voskresensk FC's Egor Avinov was substituted for Vladimir Safarov. In the 77th minute Cesar Rioja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Akinfeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Akinfeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Rioja in the 78th minute of play. 2-4 became the score in the 81st minute when Cesar Rioja elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sergey Sabadash showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danila Kolobov in the 85th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 3-4 when Evgeniy Fomichev sped through Geo-Winner's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sergey Sabadash. Cesar Rioja who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Igor Akinfeev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 93 minutes, Konstantin Lakhov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Voskresensk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konstantin Lakhov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesar Rioja in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Akinfeev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Igor Akinfeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Rioja in the 96th minute of play. The Voskresensk FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Geo-Winner's performance. The match ended with a win for Geo-Winner.
